about james: biography

James began his photography career upon graduating from New York's Columbia University where he majored in mathematics and philosophy. Since then, his work has appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, US News & World Report, Rolling Stone, Reader’s Digest, Time, Camera Arts and Der Spiegel. His work has appeared in London's National Portrait Gallery and he has received awards and recognitions including The Schweppes Portrait Prize exhibition, The Open Society Institute's Moving Walls exhibition series, Magenta Foundation Flash Forward and PDN Photo Annual. He was a participant in the World Press Joop Swart Masterclass and included in PDN Magazine's 30 emerging photographers to watch.
