James Pomerantz is a New York based photographer. His work was been exhibited both domestically and internationally, including at Bonni Benrubi Gallery, Griffin Photo Museum, the Soros Foundation and The National Portrait Gallery in London, UK.
His work is held in museum collections including New Orleans Museum of Art, University of New Mexico Museum of Art, and San Antonio Art Museum.
He has been extensively published in print and worked for clients including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, The London Sunday Times Magazine, Action Against Hunger, and Ogilvy PR.
His work has been recognized by organizations including World Press Foundation, Open Society Foundations, PDN and The Magenta Foundation.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Columbia University and a Master of Fine Art degree in Photo, Video and Related Media from New York's School of Visual Arts.
He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children and spends his time working on assignments, teaching and personal photo projects.
